Wow, it is hard to believe it has been 6 or more wks since we got back from our summer trip. So much has been going on that I haven't had time to blog about it. But, things are getting calmer and I have a few minutes. I have so much to share that I'm sure there will be at least 3 postings to cover it all...
Let's begin with the first part of our trip to Kentucky...we headed out the last day of June. Fortunately we have such wonderful neighbors that took care of our kitty Ziggy, and watched the house for us, that I had really nothing to worry about.
To save money (and sanity) we had a cooler full of food for lunches, so we would stop at a rest stop and picnic. This allowed us to have food that was healthier and I knew the kids would like, and they were allowed to run off some energy.
We drove through Kansas, Missouri, Illinois, Indiana and finally Kentucky, in 3 days...the plain states are REALLY boring. But there was some nice people, a little different, but nice.
The kids really enjoyed going to Uncle Sean and Aunt Liz's house....they didn't want to leave. Next post will be the second part of our trip....enjoy the pictures.
